Judging usually takes place in September.
The judging panel is drawn from a wide spectrum and includes independent scientists, prominent activists, experts from within industry and Animal Welfare NGOs, a Lush customer, and a Lush employee.
The judges are also invited to nominate one individual or organisation each.
The panel of judges for 2014 has not yet been finalised.
